County property
taxes have needlessly risen over 40% over the last four years.
We propose to reverse that trend.
We would propose
to do away with awarding pay-to-play no bid contracts. This is
a form of kickbacks to campaign contributors.
It is unethical with no accountability. This practice adds to
the cost of services.
Decisions are being made without open discussion or public participation. Requests for public records are denied or delayed and responses are not always truthful. We believe in open access to government records and inviting public participation.
The Freeholders often contract with companies that are not located in Union County who happen to be campaign contributors. We think the county should use local businesses when they can.
The county has a vast system of parks that have been neglected and overrun with geese waste. We would implement a humane program to control the waste problem so our parks can be functional.
The nine Freeholders have been all Democrats for over ten years. There is no one to challenge unethical behavior. The people need a watchdog.
The county has neglected the essential services that it should be delivering. Senior and youth services, health and safety concerns, and economic development and human services.
There are hundreds
of ways to improve our quality of life. We would like to know
what concerns you and invite you to contact us through our website.
