This is a a short overview of the legal action between myself and the County of Union.

The county tried to have me terminated for fabricated reasons. I challenged their claims and went before an Administrative Law Judge. The court found that the county's attempt to terminate me were inexplicable.

There has been curiosity as to what this legal action was about. Responses to the press from the county manager have not been accurate, even in light of the judge's decision. I contend the county tried to terminate me for no just cause, and the judge agrees.

I did not initiate action against the county, I am merely defending my right as an employee. This action is not the result of a law suit against the county initiated by me but an administrative law proceeding. I must shoulder the cost to defend myself while the taxpayer is paying the county's tab. The cost for the county is well over $100,00 and is rising.

This is a matter of public record. The docket numbers for the case are: (OAL DKT NO. CSV 3196-03, Agency DKT. NO. 2003-2372)

Attached is the judge's legal analysis and conclusion.
