The event offers three time blocks: 5-5:45 p.m. for families with special-needs individuals, 5:45-7 p.m. for children ages 7 and older, and a more intense 7-8:30 p.m. experience not recommended for children under 10. Children younger than 10 must be accompanied by a parent. Organizers recommend sneakers and flashlights.
Admission is $5 per person, cash only. The Recreation and Senior Services Department also seeks volunteers in seventh grade and older to serve as actors and earn community-service hours.
