The celebration opened with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by lively music, dancing and food. Colorful attire filled the gathering as children and adults joined in, creating an opportunity for neighbors to celebrate Indian culture together.
Mayor Joseph Signorello Jr., Council President Jay Robaina and council members Rosanna Antonuccio-Lyons, Joe Petrosky and Khanjan Patel attended the festivities. The Union County Board of County Commissioners sponsored the event, and Commissioner Rebecca Williams attended.
Now in its 11th year, the festival continued a community tradition of sharing culture through food, music and dance. Organizers celebrated the joyful gathering and looked forward to welcoming everyone back next year.
