Livingston Schedules Final Electronics Recycling and Paper Shredding Event of 2026

The Township of Livingston will hold its final Electronics Recycling and Paper Shredding Event of 2026 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Livingston Senior/Community Center, 204 Hillside Ave.

The residents-only drive-through event accepts computers, laptops, phones, televisions, printers, scanners, cables and other electronics, whether working or not. Electronics may not be placed at the curb for regular collection. Screens with broken glass or sharp edges will not be accepted.

Confidential paper documents will be shredded on site, with a five-box limit per household. Hard-cover books, three-ring binders, clips, CDs and similar fastened materials are not accepted. Residents should bring only sensitive documents and use containers that can be easily emptied.

Electronics-only early drop-off is also available Oct. 22 and 23 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the Senior/Community Center’s lower-level Craft Room 1. For information, visit livingstonnj.org/ElectronicsEvents or call 973-992-5000, ext. 5303.
