The breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to noon at American Legion Post 102, 112 W. Elizabeth Ave. in Roselle. This month’s special will be Boo Berry Pancakes, a seasonal variation on the regular breakfast menu. The event is open to the public, and takeout orders will be available.
Donations are $8 for adults and $7 for seniors and children; children age 5 and under eat free. In addition to the Halloween-themed special, the event offers a simple opportunity for families, neighbors and supporters of local veterans to gather for a home-cooked breakfast on a Sunday morning.
Auxiliary units support the work and community presence of their American Legion posts, including outreach connected with veterans and their families. Events such as a public breakfast also give people who may not otherwise visit the post a direct way to connect with that mission.
The submission noted that a separate VFW breakfast was still awaiting confirmation and is not included here. Residents planning to attend the American Legion Auxiliary breakfast can visit during the stated service hours or order takeout from the post.
