Fresh Air and Friendly Company with Livingston’s Autumn Walking Club

A walk can be more than a little exercise. It can be time to enjoy the outdoors, catch up with a neighbor and make movement part of a weekly routine. Livingston Health Department’s free Autumn Walking Club brings those opportunities together along the reservoir at South Mountain Recreation Complex.

Open to adults over 18, the club offers a chance to stay active while enjoying the season with others. The 1.75-mile route takes about an hour, leaving time for conversation along the way.

Walks continue on Fridays through November 13, from 10 to 11 a.m., weather permitting. Participants meet in the free public parking lot at McLoone’s Boathouse, 9 Cherry Lane, West Orange.

With a regular meeting time and a group to join, the club gives residents a simple reason to lace up their walking shoes and head outside.

Pre-registration is required. To register or ask questions, email Jessica, Health Educator, at jekelly@livingstonnj.org.
